Leonardo comes from a family of Italian hoteliers and has been a well-rounded entrepreneur since 2001, when—at just 19—he launched his first start-up, Eurovacanza.com, a travel portal for direct reservations. After obtaining a Degree in General Management from Bocconi University, and a CEMS Master in International Management from Copenhagen Business School. In 2008, he joined Booking.com, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, he spent 12 years helping drive the company’s exponential global growth (Nasdaq: BKNG), leading teams across marketing and product development.
An active angel investor and board member, Leonardo has backed and advised a range of tech start-ups and scale-ups in both travel and beyond—including BizAway (corporate travel management), BeSafe Group (hospitality insure-tech), Fratelli Desideri (Italian food-tech).
In 2019 he became Partner at Prana Ventures, Italy’s first operational venture capital firm dedicated to seed and post-seed companies. In March 2024, Leonardo co-founded TT2 – TravelTech.vc, where he is a Founding Partner focused on supporting the next generation of travel technology innovators.
