Carlos Cachero was born and raised in Oviedo, northern Spain, and has built a global career across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. After earning his MBA from HEC Paris, where he received the Scholarship for Excellence, he joined Uber in 2021, first as an MBA Associate in Amsterdam before moving to Milan, where he now leads Rider Operations for Southern Europe.
In his current role, Carlos oversees multi-market operations and drives growth and innovation for a $1.2B+ business that serves over 1M monthly riders. He has forged strategic collaborations with major brands such as the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Italo, and Como 1907, while introducing new mobility formats like Uber Boat and Uber Copter that have expanded Uber’s reach and visibility.
Before Uber, Carlos spent six years with Thyssenkrupp in Dubai and Hong Kong, working across business development, sales, and strategy — experiences that shaped his passion for global mobility, data-driven decision-making, and high-impact teams.
Outside of work, basketball has been a defining part of Carlos’s life. He started playing at age five, was named Spain’s best under-15 player, and turned professional at 16.
