Jacques Bulchand-Gidumal is a Full Professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
He teaches subjects courses on digital business, digital tourism, business models and digital entrepreneurship (startups).
His research interests include AI, service automation and associated risks, digital business models and the transformation of tourism through digital technologies.
He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science, a M.Sc. in Management of Information Systems and a Ph. D. in Business Administration.
He advices several companies in the process of implementing IT/AI systems.
He is a mentor of several startups and a small investor in some of them.
He is the current President of IFITT (International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism, ifitt.net).
