Sara is an enthusiastic social scientist and tourism researcher.
Sara thrives on cool ideas and loves to write.

She is a big believer in measuring real behaviour and proving cause and effect in field experiments.

Her current research mission is to entice consumers to behave in more environmentally friendly ways in enjoyment-focused contexts, such as vacations. In pursuit of this goal, she has established a research group at the University of Queensland in Australia called the Low Harm Hedonism Initiative.

Sara is also: the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Tourism Research, an Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow, a Fellow of CAUTHE, a Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism, a Fellow of the Academy for the Social Sciences in Australia, the happy wife of a nerdy chemistry professor and the mother of a 13 year old boy who loves to dance and a 10 year old girl who is learning to accept the dyslexia is a superpower.
