Ph. D. in Physics (2019 – University of Florence), Elettra Neri carried out her Ph. D. and postdoctoral research in the field of ultracold atomic gases at LENS – CNR INO and ICFO.
In 2022, she transitioned to the private sector by joining the R&D team of a Startup. There, she worked first-hand on the design and development of laser sources and optomechanical systems for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). She later became Head of R&D, taking on management and decision-making responsibilities and complementing her academic expertise with entrepreneurial skills.
Since 2026, she has been a member of the Vectorial Nano-Imaging research group led by Prof. Antonio Ambrosio at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Milan. Her current research focuses on the prototyping of AI-designed metalenses for real-world imaging applications.
