Francesco D’Orazio

Founder & CEO Pulsar

Francesco D’Orazio explores the boundary between artificial and collective intelligence: how groups think, move and choose together, and what changes when algorithms join the herd.

He is the founder of Pulsar, the AI-powered audience intelligence platform that brands, governments and think tanks use to map the communities behind the conversation and how ideas travel between them.

He holds a PhD on immersive media and the evolution of online audiences, and has advised organisations including the United Nations, the WHO, Google, SpaceXAI, Amazon, Microsoft.

At BTO he starts from one question: do algorithms simply find our tribes, or do they build them from the ground up?
