Gianna Elisa Berlingerio, a mother of three, has been (since May 2021) the Director of the Department of Economic Development for the Puglia Region, having previously headed two of the department’s eight divisions.
The Department is dedicated to providing assistance to businesses for capital investments, research and development, internationalization, and process and product innovation.
It also deals with industrial infrastructure and corporate crises. Its work on energy and youth policies rounds out the picture.
In this demanding role, he draws on the experience he gained in Bari and Brussels as an attorney, primarily in the field of administrative law, as well as the expertise he acquired through his specialization in the law and economics of the European Communities and his Ph.D. in Public Economic Law.
She loves her homeland with all her heart and acts without any pretense of appearing objective or impartial in national and international contexts.
