Manuela De Carlo, PhD, is a full professor and director of the Department of Business, Law, Economics, and Consumer Behavior at IULM University in Milan, where she founded and directs the Master’s program in International Tourism and Hospitality.
His research focuses on the development of collective capabilities, the adoption of digital technologies and AI by companies in the tourism and hospitality sectors, the personalization of services, and sustainable development strategies for destinations. On these topics, he has supported numerous companies and institutions in the sector in Italy and abroad through research-intervention projects and consulting. The results of his research have been published in leading academic journals, including the *Journal of Business Research*, the *European Management Journal*, the *Annals of Tourism Research*, the *International Journal of Hospitality Management*, *Current Issues in Tourism*, the *Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research*, and the *International Journal of Tourism Research*.
