Patrik Romano is the General Manager of the Bologna Welcome Foundation, a wholly public entity established by the City of Bologna, the Metropolitan City of Bologna, and the Bologna Chamber of Commerce. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and tourism promotion, both in Italy and abroad. For eight years, he served as General Manager of Bologna Congressi and as Head of Marketing and Business Development at BolognaFiere S.p.A. Since 2013, he has led Bologna Welcome, coordinating strategies for the destination’s development, promotion, and positioning.
The Foundation promotes the appeal and competitiveness of Bologna and the Bologna-Modena Tourist Area by supporting sustainable economic and social development through tourism, culture, and sports. It fosters collaboration among institutions, businesses, and communities; raises the region’s profile internationally; and promotes investment, talent, sustainability, and inclusion, thereby contributing to an innovative, resilient destination capable of improving quality of life.
