He has written several books on food and wine tourism and created the very first guide for the Wine Tourism Movement in 1996. During his career, he founded “Calici di Stelle,” an event held every year on August 10 that brings together hundreds of wineries and wine towns across Italy.
A member of the Order of Journalists since 2001, he is currently the founder and editor-in-chief of *sala&cucina*, a magazine focused on hospitality and dining, and, as of February 2024, the founder and editor-in-chief of *ilbelviaggio.it*, a website and magazine that showcases the beauty, quality of life, culture, and biodiversity of Italy. It is a project where the protagonists are the local residents, artisans, producers, and restaurateurs—in other words, those who, better than anyone else, know how to describe, share stories about, and help visitors fall in love with these places.
“I’ve been involved in tourism ever since I was a child, when my father bought his first car—a Fiat 500—which we used to take on trips every Sunday in the spring. To keep me quiet, he’d give me a volume of the *Encyclopedia of Italian Regions* published by Aristea at every destination. That’s how I discovered Italy as a child: a passion that has never left me.”
